It’s very rare that we get to see 2009 concepts lately, so feast your eyes on the Honda Zeppelin design pictured below, made by Myung Jin Jung. The creator of the vehicle is a student at the Hongik University, following the car design course. Zeppelin was the designer’s final year project, as he was required to create a luxury sedan of the future.

Honda Zeppelin looks like a combo between Citroen GT and the newest Batmobile, the one from “The Dark Knight”. Its name (and shape) was inspired by airships, but this is still a luxurious piece of machinery. Notice the asymmetric line running from the hood and along the roofline, till the car’s rear end.
Forget about the standard winshield on this futuristic supercar, that relies on an interior video display, providing much greater field of vision. Honda Zeppelin’s doors are shaped in the gullwing style and inside you’ll find luxury seatings, also inspired by aircrafts. The front seats are swivelling and can be turned to face the rear ones in the “Entertainment Mode”.

We’ve seen more floating cars than wheeled hybrids lately, so maybe it’s a sign that future is nigh, unless Skynet and Terminators have something to say about it. Honda Fuzo is one of these floating vehicles, a “Vertical Take-Off and Landing concept” to be more precise and this work belongs to designer John Mahieddine.

Honda Fuzo relies on 4 high power turbines for horizontal flight and it can reach a speed of 350 mph. You’ll control the strange vehicle via 2 joysticks, for speed, trust and steering, each of them placed on the side of the driver’s seat (on the armrests). The left controller spins the hovercar on its axis, while the one on the right handles the tilt and direction.
Normal in-car pedals are on the floor and you should also know that Fuzo uses a Fly-by-Wire system, based on GPS and stopping cars from hitting each other. This concept Honda’s airbags open inside and outside of the vehicle, for extra protection and the incredible vehicle is made out of carbon fibre, carbon nano tubes and… Kevlar.
Incredible is the word for it!
