Ferrante Design V Concept, an Italian Tribute to the American Muscle Cars
January 21st, 2010 | by Thrystan |
The V Concept supercar has been designed by the Italian designer Fabio Ferrante, who is a graduate of the Polytechnic Institute of Turin. The concept is a luxurious 4 seater coupe, designed for comfort and the pleasure of driving.
Despite its fluid car body design, the V is actually inspired from the 1960s American muscle cars, especially the 1967 Chevrolet Impala, featured in the TV series “Supernatural”. The letter “V”, naming this sports car, is actually the first letter in the name of Ferrante’s girlfriend.
The V Concept has its distinct character and is not intended to be a revival of the Chevrolet Impala. Instead it’s a tribute to the style of the American muscle cars, with their imposing muscular build. This vehicle measures around 5 meters in length, 2 meters in width and has a height of about 1.4 meters. Even though the concept is not going into serial production, Ferrante proposed a hybrid engine for the supercar.
