Christopher Lavelanet is the designer of a hot-looking two-seater, powered by an electric engine and a battery pack. The Versa-Quatic concept car is eco-friendly and allows its drivers to sit in a motorcycle-style position, for an experience you usually get on two wheels. As such, you’ll use your upper and lower body to turn the vehicle, speed it up and even stop this crazy ride.

Just don’t lean your bodies in opposite directions, in case there are two drivers running the automobile…

The Paris Motor Show 2008 has just started a couple of days ago and we’re already drooling at the many concept cars showed in the capital of France. Among them, the most impressive is surely Citroen GT, the star of the videogame Gran Turismo 5, for the PlayStation 3.

Seems that this playable virtual automobile was turned into a real one, with a huge rear-end, so it stays on your retina long enough to make it your “mental wallpaper”.

Following Mazda’s Nagare design movement, this supercar weighs 3000 pounds and it’s a two seater that can get from 0 to 62 mph in 3.6 seconds. Underneath the hood you’ll find a 646 horse power engine plus another 136 more hp provided by the power of hydrogen.

Inside the Citroen GT, the driver finds a head-up display that shows driving info (speed, navigation data) by using red LEDs and projecting data on the windscreen.

Enigma Concept Supercar is a Bio-Electric Hybrid

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this concept car was that its rear end makes it look like an ant… Nature plays its part in this car’s design, but as a reason to use bio-electric hybrid technology to power the vehicle. No more internal combustion and all shiny looks for the Enigma, a created by Paul Howse.

Also, this concept automobile uses cameras and projections on the interior to get rid of the standard windscreen and prolong the bonnet over into the roof. While the car’s kept away hidden from those pesky hybrid thieves (??), it will be recharged with the aid of photo-voltaic solar panels. To me, it seemed strange, but it turns out that the interior is “suspended in magnetic levitation”… What do you make of this?

The final touch to the Enigma is a patination of material, like bronze, for example, in order to emphasize how precious and unique this supercar really is.

What happens when the prancing pony meets Akira? You get this beautiful Ferrari motorcycle, created by Amir Glinik and we can’t believe it’s only a concept. This hottie packs a Ferrari V4 Integrated Drive Unit and its driver will use a touchscreen computer to manage its systems.

Ferrari Motorcycle Concept is a Red Dream!

You may notice the presence of those cool looking hand controls… Well, they’re inspired by the “throttle quadrant of a F16 jet fighter”.

The above-mentioned PC helps control the suspensions of the vehicle, the driving mode and the tech stuff doesn’t end here, as this Ferrari bike’s got an anti theft device incorporated plus radio and GPS. On the motorcycle’s display you’ll be able to monitor all liquids and temperatures, so you’ll keep it safe, while keeping it sci-fi and cool.

I’m quite a big fan of the Gran Turismo series, so an extra in-game car can only make one happy these day. Specially if it’s a neat Citroen concept, that will see the light of day at the 2008 Paris Motor Show coming. Turns out that Citroen and Polyphony Digital have worked together on an exclusive automobile for Gran Turismo Prologue.

What you can see below are just teasers, but hopefully, we’ll get better pics of the concept Citroen soon.

In case the title seemed misleading, this is an automobile we’re talking about, a designed by Abhinav Dapke, bearing the name Loop. The vehicle is environmentally-friendly and it uses a solar panel, which is one of the power sources for the automobile, aside from a Lithium battery.

This battery is placed at the rear of the Peugeot Loop and it’s a rechargeable unit. Those touchscreen windows I mentioned in the title are present too and I’m sorry if you thought that I was talking about the operating system.

Back to the windows, they embed a concept camera that can take photos of the surrounding environment, in case you like what you see and touch them, triggering the snapshot.

Ferrari F460 Tifosi, a V8 Concept Supercar of 2008

We’ve had our share of , too many actually, so it’s time to go Italian for a while and check out this Ferrari F460 beauty. The Tifosi is a concept supercar created by Atilla Tay and the wannabe successor of the Ferrari F430.

Ferrari F460 Tifosi, a V8 Concept Supercar of 2008

There’s a powerful V8 mid-mounted engine at the core of this automobile, a 4.6 litre one to be more precise. Keeping the style of the F430, you’ll be able to see the engine of the F460 through a glass window, as for the design of this supercar, it seems to follow the shape of… DNA, believe it or not!

The Tifosi (Italian word for “fan”) is all about flowing lines and a matt black colour that gets the aggressive look going. Will this now scale model ever make it to the streets?

This automobile is a compact three-seater, designed to ride in the city, while hiding a 1.6 liter HDI engine under its hood, plus an electric motor, to keep Mother Nature satisfied.

Peugeot Henosis Concept Supercar, Based on Hydrogen Fuel and… Gaming Skills

Henosis is a concept design, created by Alexei Mikhailov, who managed to foresee the future of modern automobiles, as they slip into the hands of the Xbox generation. Its aggressive, but still elegant look is coupled with its eco-friendliness, as the vehicle uses hydrogen fuel and a powerful battery.

Today’s kids will be tomorrow’s drivers and buyers of today’s concepts, the future mass production cars. In case this phrase made too little sense, imagine that the Peugeot Henosis uses gaming-style controls for basically any function.

So, if you’re an avid gamer and can’t seem to get that driving license, start improving those gaming skills and coordination, as it’s going to pay off. By the way, I have to mention that the car was designed for the 2008 Peugeot design competition, but sadly didn’t make it to the top 30. Too bad, as it looks great.
